CAS mode works symbolically: expressions like "x^2 - 4" are kept as formulas, not evaluated. You can solve for variables, factor, and simplify without losing precision.

Use the keyboard to type expressions. Supported: variables (x, y, z), powers (^), trigonometric functions (sin, cos, tan), logarithms (log, ln), and grouping with parentheses.

The blinking cursor shows the insertion point. Use LEFT / RIGHT arrows to move within the expression. Functions like SIN insert "sin()" and place the cursor inside the parentheses automatically.

Type an equation with "=" (e.g., x^2 = 9) and press F1 (SOLVE). The CAS returns all solutions, including complex roots when applicable.

Press F2 (SIMPLIFY) to reduce an expression to its simplest form. "sin(x)^2 + cos(x)^2" simplifies to "1" automatically.

Backed by GMP and MPFR libraries for arbitrary-precision arithmetic. Rational numbers stay exact: 1/3 is never rounded to a decimal unless you request numeric evaluation.

Undo your last edit to the expression. Press it again to redo — it toggles between the current and previous state.

Select EDIT A or EDIT B from the matrix menu. Use the arrow keys to navigate cells, type the value and press ENTER to confirm each cell. Rows and columns (1–4) are adjustable.

The active cell is shown in inverse video (white text on black). You always know where you are in the grid.

From OPS menu: A+B (add), A−B (subtract), A×B (multiply), det(A) (determinant), A^T (transpose), A^−1 (inverse). Results are shown in the RESULT view.

Works on square matrices (2×2, 3×3, 4×4). Result is a scalar displayed in the standard result area with "=" prefix.

A^−1 is computed if the determinant is non-zero. If the matrix is singular, an error message is displayed instead.

Type a value in Decimal, Binary, Octal or Hexadecimal (F1–F4 select the input base) and see it converted live in all four representations simultaneously.

Values are treated as unsigned 16-bit integers (0–65535). Invalid digits for the selected base are rejected with an error.

F6 (CLR) resets the input buffer and the current value back to zero.

Five physical dimensions: Length (m, km, cm, mm, in, ft, yd, mi), Mass (kg, g, mg, lb, oz, t), Temperature (°C, °F, K), Volume (L, mL, m³, gal, qt, fl oz) and Speed (m/s, km/h, mph, knots, ft/s).

Pick a category, then use LEFT/RIGHT to jump between the "From" unit, the value field and the "To" unit. With a unit field selected, UP/DOWN cycles through the available units. Type the value, press ENTER to convert.

F1 instantly swaps the "From" and "To" units — handy for checking a conversion in reverse.

Temperature (°C, °F, K) uses affine conversion, not just scaling — handled correctly by the engine.

Fill in any combination of 3 sides and angles (at least one must be a side) — sides a, b, c on the left, angles A, B, C on the right, each opposite its matching side.

Handles SSS (three sides, law of cosines), SAS and SSA (two sides + an angle, law of cosines/sines) and ASA/AAS (two angles + a side, law of sines) automatically — whichever combination you provide.

F1 computes the missing sides and angles, plus the triangle's area and perimeter, shown at the bottom of the screen.

If the three given values can't form a real triangle (or the data is ambiguous), an error is shown instead of a wrong answer.

Fill in D1 and D2 as day / month / year. Navigate between the two dates with UP/DOWN, and between day/month/year with LEFT/RIGHT.

F1 shows the day of the week for both D1 and D2, plus the exact number of days between them.

Uses Julian Day Number math for accurate results across the full Gregorian calendar — no drift over centuries.

Solve 2×2 or 3×3 systems of linear equations using Gaussian elimination. Enter coefficients in the matrix form — the right-hand side values go in the last column.

For a 2×2 system: row 1 = [a1 b1 | c1], row 2 = [a2 b2 | c2]. Navigate cells with arrow keys and confirm each with ENTER.

The solution vector [x, y] or [x, y, z] is shown clearly. If the system has no solution or infinitely many, the display indicates accordingly.

Enter the real part in field A and imaginary part in field B. The display shows the number as "a + bi" in real time.

Two complex numbers (A, B) can be added, subtracted, multiplied and divided. Select the operation with the F-keys.

Press F3 (POLAR) to switch to magnitude-angle representation |z|∠θ. The angle is shown in degrees or radians according to the global angle mode.

F4 computes the complex conjugate (a − bi); F5 computes the modulus |z| = √(a²+b²) as a real scalar.

Enter vectors A and B component by component. The Z component can be left as 0 for 2D calculations.

A · B = Ax·Bx + Ay·By + Az·Bz. Result is a scalar. Useful to check orthogonality (result = 0) or compute work in physics.

A × B gives a new vector perpendicular to both A and B. Only defined for 3D vectors. Magnitude equals the area of the parallelogram spanned by A and B.

|A| gives the Euclidean length. NORM divides each component by |A| to produce a unit vector.

Access 20+ constants with a single tap. Categories: Mathematical (π, e, φ), Universal (c, G, h), Electromagnetic (e charge, ε₀, μ₀), Atomic (mₑ, mₚ, mₙ, Nₐ, kB, R).

Browse to the desired constant and press ENTER. The value is inserted into the active input field or pushed to the RPN stack — depending on the current mode.

All constants are stored at full CODATA precision. No rounding errors from abbreviated values.

Press BLUE + LIB from CAS or RPN to open the formula library — organised by category, from geometry to physics.

Each formula comes with its own pixel-art diagram on the left, and the equation itself on the right — styled like a classic HP equation library.

Navigate with UP/DOWN or F1/F2, use LEFT/RIGHT to flip between formulas in the same category, and press ENTER to insert it into your calculation.
